Visual Designer
The Candidate
We are looking for a talented and experienced Visual Designer to join our growing and diverse team. This role is for somebody who can jump straight into designing for our client projects which include: web, mobile apps, ecommerce solutions and touchscreen systems.
This position requires someone with exceptional design skills who is adept at taking briefs and turning them into great designs. You will be required to work closely with our UI/UX and technical teams to deliver exceptional, high quality design solutions for our clients.
You will have a keen interest in UI design and be knowledgeable in fields of usability, typography & design best practices.
Ideally we are looking for someone with 3 years’ experience working as a visual designer. However if the portfolio is strong enough we’re willing to consider a candidate with less experience.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
Working as part of our UI/UX design team to deliver exceptional, high quality designs on behalf of our clients
Taking briefs and creating visual designs for web, ecommerce, mobile apps and touch screen systems
Ability to do the following would be a distinct advantage:
- Ability to design and code for responsive/mobile sites.
- Turn finished designs into working HTML5/CSS3.
- Ensuring coding templates work across all major browsers.
- Install templates into CMS (WordPress etc.) and make changes if necessary.
Skills:
- Demonstrated skills in the principles of design, usability, colour theory and typography.
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
- Experience in dealing directly with clients.
- Self-motivated, driven individual comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing multiple projects at one time to make aggressive deadlines.
